I was in Bangalore airport today waiting for the boarding call to Chennai (I am off until 22nd May), when I decided to try out Wifi-Radar. Powered up Wifi-Radar from Applications -> Internet -> Wifi-Radar and here comes the screen showing all the darn networks.

I chose Airtel-Wifi and clicked on Connect. It prompted that there is currently no settings available and asked me to configure the settings. After the basic settings were configured, ok was clicked and this was the next dialog box. It read “Acquiring IP”

And then it was done and guess what!!??? I was connected to the Airtel Wi-Fi network at Bengalooru Airport! Nice piece of software this is. But I still prefer the “sudo iwconfig” method
